A Few News Items

Okay, so it's been awhile, yes it has. I struggle with a blog phobia I think. I always imagine something's going to go wrong and it usually does! So that's why I imagine that. 


This time it's going to work out. I'm not going to be concerned about getting the pictures in the right order. Whoever reads this will have to do that for themselves.



So here it is May of 2012. Many things have happened since April, my last blog entry. I don't think I'll go into all that. A couple of things can't be passed over, though.


A new grandson arrived last August! Beckham Hunter Silva. Leah and Matt now have four lively boys! I'll add a picture.

Also, Ethan came home from his Croatian Mission last January 10th. It was so good to see him after so long! He will be living here with us until the Fall when he'll go back to BYU. He's taking independent study classed, two of them, and he's also learning piano and getting back into trumpet. He wants to major in Media Music.

Our big news of late is that Dennie and I have decided to go on a Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. We have our papers all turned in and have had a Bishop's interview and will have one with the Stake President on Sunday. Then the papers will go to Church Headquarters and within a few weeks we'll know where we'll be for the next 18 months! Pretty exciting, eh? So Dennie had to shave, obviously, after having that beard for 45 years (with a few weeks break sometime in there, for some reason...). He looks different, but very handsome and most say he looks younger. I'm use to it now but it was a shock every time I looked at him for the first few days.
