Delights from the Weed Patch

Most likely you've seen these weeds in your garden. Purslane.

Sauted with onions, cherry tomatoes and rice. Gooooood!

With salmon and homemade bread.

And the next day in a salad.

That looks amazing! How does purslane taste? Is it bitter? Spicy like arugula? I think your photos lookd great.

I guess "buzz" doesn't show up as comments because the Smith kids and I have been writing back and forth. I think I answered your question, either on buzz or email. Dad just picked a lot more of it yesterday. We left it in the sink in water and this morning it looked like it was growing up toward the ceiling. I cleaned it today. We like it and it's plenty abundant (and the right price!). Like I said, it almost tastes like cooked chard. A little peppery.

That sounds good. I don't know what buzz is, and you haven't talked about it in email. Anyway, it looks delicious.
